Our manufacturing operations are located in Tõdva (near Saku, in Harju County), on a 3.5-hectare piece of property. There is over 3000 m² of interior floorage for manufacturing.
Thanks to modern manufacturing devices, experienced and properly trained employees, and adherence to ISO requirements, milled log products roll off the lines rapidly and efficiently.
We make ready-to-install sets of timber for log and milled square beam structures, and our production lines allow manufacture of milled logs in thicknesses of 28-142 mm. In addition to milled logs, Palktare also produces other milled and sawn material used in log houses such as floors, ceilings, trusses, roofs, decks and balcony.
The output capacity of the plant amounts to 12-16 trailers or sea shipping containers a month. That in turn amounts to 8-10 residences (with a floor area of 140-160 m²) a month.
Our manufacturing is a responsible environmental activity from the standpoint of conservation. The primary raw material used in houses is Estonian pine, which has not been treated with any chemicals, and all of the materials (except for the windows, doors and stairs) are “wood-ready.”
This is due to the fact that Palktare places a high value on a healthful and ecologically sound environment, and every customer can put different finishing touches on their house if they so desire. A test assembly is performed on houses before being shipped from the plant—all of the main units of the house are checked over to make the chance of error negligible.
